Pamela Grimaud obtained her MA in Costume History - Visual Culture from New York University and has taught at the Parsons School of Design and The Fashion Institute of Technology in New York City, as well as at Concordia University and Lasalle College in Montreal.

She executed several fashion research projects for former American Vogue Editor-in-Chief and Mirabella magazine founder Grace Mirabella and conducted research and served as editor for the book American Style, published by Assouline Press.

While in New York, Pamela assisted The Soprano’s costume designer Juliet Polcsa in shopping for the cast’s wardrobe, as well as with dressing the cast on a season premiere photo shoot by photographer Annie Liebovitz.

Pamela lectures extensively on all manner of historical and contemporary at cultural centres and libraries.

Her creative non-fiction piece Before the Bidding Starts was included in the ‘The WORN Archive” a “best of WORN Fashion Journal” anthology published by Drawn & Quarterly.

Currently, Pamela conducts visual research and secures archives rights for documentary film and TV productions on a freelance basis.
